Google Analytics 4 (G-12ZKN298E0), Microsoft Clarity (project z1zruvo0jw) and Adsterra ads load by default on every page view. Reject turns all three off and is remembered in localStorage for 180 days. YouTube loads only when you press play.

I checked the built pages against this policy on October 22, 2026. The HTML carries no script src pointing at an analytics or ad host: the page script creates the Clarity tag, the Adsterra Native Banner and the Social Bar. Requests go to www.googletagmanager.com, www.google-analytics.com, www.clarity.ms, scripts.clarity.ms, rotating collector hosts under *.clarity.ms, and bicea.org. YouTube is a still image until Play.

Who is responsible

The publisher of farttogether.org is the controller for the preference stored in your browser and for email you send to [email protected]. There is no account system and the site does not ask for a name, address, or payment details.

This policy describes the scripts the pages actually run. A browser check on a fresh origin observed requests to www.googletagmanager.com, www.google-analytics.com, www.clarity.ms, scripts.clarity.ms, rotating collector hosts under *.clarity.ms, and bicea.org; Adsterra creatives may request additional delivery hosts that vary by creative.

Default loading and the Reject choice

With no saved choice, Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra ads load on the first page view while the banner remains visible. This is a default-on design, not a gate that waits for a click.

A current saved Reject prevents those scripts from loading before the page runs them. Clicking Reject saves the denial in localStorage for 180 days and the next page view requests none of them. The footer's Cookie settings button opens the banner again so you can change the choice; Accept stores a grant for the same 180 days.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track (DNT) are treated as Reject: the site writes a denial and does not load GA4, Clarity, or Adsterra even on a first visit.

Google Analytics 4

GA4 measurement ID G-12ZKN298E0 loads its tag from www.googletagmanager.com and sends measurement requests to www.google-analytics.com and *.google-analytics.com. It records page views, scroll and outbound-link events, approximate location, device and browser type, and a random client identifier. Google Analytics documents that GA4 does not log or store full IP addresses.

GA4 sets the _ga and _ga_<container> cookies and may keep a queue in localStorage under keys it owns. Cookie lifetimes depend on tag and browser settings. Event-data retention is configured in the GA4 property; the GA4 default for a free property is two months, and the property setting controls it. Purpose: aggregate audience measurement and content improvement.

The tag runs by default unless a stored Reject is present. Google's processor terms and privacy policy apply: policies.google.com/privacy. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Microsoft Clarity

Clarity project z1zruvo0jw loads by default from www.clarity.ms. Its tag script comes from scripts.clarity.ms, and collection requests use rotating hosts under *.clarity.ms. Clarity records heatmaps, clicks, scrolling, and session replays, together with a pseudonymous session identifier, page URL, browser, device, and approximate location. Form inputs and other sensitive content are masked by Clarity's default settings.

Clarity sets the _clck and _clsk cookies and may read the Microsoft MUID cookie. Microsoft retains playback data for 30 days, labeled or favorited sessions for nine months, and click/heatmap data for nine months. See Clarity data retention and Microsoft's privacy statement.

Adsterra advertising

Adsterra publisher 3403020, website 6143440, supplies two placements: Native Banner NativeBanner_1 (unit 31874728) in the content area and Social Bar SocialBar_1 (unit 31874729) as the fixed bottom bar. Adult advertising is switched off in the Adsterra dashboard. The creative scripts load by default from bicea.org and may create iframes or images from Adsterra delivery domains that vary by creative.

Adsterra and its partners may set cookies or localStorage on their own domains to cap frequency, measure impressions and clicks, and choose a creative; the site does not control those values or their lifetimes. The ads.txt file declares adsterra.com, 3403020, DIRECT. Purpose: showing ads that fund the site.

The units load by default unless a stored Reject is present. Adsterra's privacy policy: adsterra.com/privacy-policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, YourAdChoices, or the DAA opt-out.

YouTube

A video is a local still image until you press Play. Play inserts an iframe from youtube-nocookie.com; YouTube then receives your IP address, the page URL, and device information, and may set cookies under Google's policy. The site does not receive the viewing data.

YouTube is not requested on a page view, so it is not covered by the Reject switch: if you have rejected, pressing Play still loads the player and YouTube's own choices apply from that point. Google privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Cookies and localStorage keys

The site itself writes no first-party cookies. The table lists every key the site or a loaded third party can write, with the retention the vendor documents.

Legal basis, retention, and sharing

The local choice is stored so the site can honor the decision you made; that is a legitimate interest in keeping a setting you control, and you can delete it at any time. Audience measurement and ad delivery rest on legitimate interests in understanding and funding the site, balanced against the Reject control, the default-off state after a denial, and the automatic denial when GPC or DNT is present. Where local law requires consent for a vendor cookie, the banner records the choice and Reject withdraws it.

GA4 event-data retention is configured in the property; the free-tier default is two months. Clarity playback data is retained for 30 days, and labeled sessions and click/heatmap data for nine months. Adsterra keeps ad-delivery data under its own policy. Email you send is kept long enough to answer and to fix the page, then deleted. We do not sell personal information and share data only with the processors named above and the hosting provider for security and delivery.

Your rights and changes

You can request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of email you sent us, and you can object to the preference storage by clearing localStorage or using Cookie settings. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority. Because the site has no account, we may need the approximate date and page you used to find a record.

This text is dated 2026-10-22. A material change is a new date on this page and a matching change in the script that loads. A new third-party script is added to this list in the same release that introduces it. Old URLs /privacy-policy/, /cookie-policy/, and /cookies/ redirect here.

Questions people ask

Do you set cookies?

The site writes two localStorage keys, ft_consent_v1 and ft_float_ad_closed, and no first-party cookie. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, Adsterra and YouTube set their own cookies as described above.

How do I change my choice?

Use Cookie settings in the footer. Reject stores a denial for 180 days and stops GA4, Clarity and the Adsterra units on the next page view; Accept turns them back on.

Does Reject stop analytics?

Yes. A stored Reject keeps the GA4 tag from loading, removes the Clarity tag and the Adsterra scripts, and is remembered for 180 days. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is treated the same way.

Why is there an ad bar at the bottom?

That is the Adsterra Social Bar. It is a fixed strip constrained to the viewport width; its Close button stores ft_float_ad_closed for 180 days so it does not come back on reload.
